1. The Alumni Council will officially recognize AAHS Alumni Clubs that are formed throughout the United States.
2. The organization of each AAHS Alumni Club will be at the discretion of the individuals who make up the club and run its activities. Decisions about bylaws, officers, bank accounts, local memberships and other related issues will be controlled by the members of the Alumni Club.
3. The AAHS Alumni Association is not responsible for activities and projects organized by the Alumni Club, nor is the AAHS Alumni Association liable in any way for any claims that may be made against any Alumni Club.
4. The AAHS Alumni Association will assist clubs in the following ways:
* Include a directory of existing clubs in Association publications including the AlumNOTES newsletter. Articles and photos about club activities will also be included in the newsletter as space permits.
* List a club directory and promote upcoming activities on the World Wide Web via the Altoona Area School District Homepage. The address is http://www.aasdcat.com
*Provide up to two sets of complementary mailing labels for each club when requested. These labels would cover the geographic area requested (city, state, etc.) Clubs which maintain a local membership list are required to keep their own database.
5. The AAHS Alumni Club will assist the Alumni Association by encouraging its local members to also become members of the Alumni Association. The Alumni Association will provide membership forms on request.
6. The Alumni Club shall provide the Alumni Association with the name, address and telephone number of a "contact person" that can provide information about upcoming events and activities. This person will also be responsible for notifying the Alumni Association when address labels and other services are needed.
