AAHS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION ALL-CLASS GATHERING IS OCTOBER 22-23

The Altoona Area High School Alumni Association is continuing to accept registrations for its All-Class Gathering weekend of Friday and Saturday, October 22-23.

Since members of the association received their March newsletter, nearly 500 tickets have already been purchased for the dinner and dance that will be held at the Jaffa Shrine Center on Saturday, October 23.

The weekend will begin with a Friday evening football game at Mansion Park when the Mt. Lions tangle with Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School. Tickets will be sold at the gate beginning at 5:30 p.m.

On Saturday morning, a tour of Altoona Area Junior High School will be given at 10 a.m. followed by a tour of the high school from noon-1:30 p.m.

The AAHS Alumni Museum, located on the second floor of the Altoona Area Public Library, will be open from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Joe Servello and Bill Moffitt, both 1950 Altoona High School graduates, will host a free reception at the Servello Gallery at 1302 Eleventh Avenue from 1-3 p.m.

A variety of paintings will be on display and complimentary refreshments will be served.

The weekend will culminate with a dinner dance at the Jaffa Shrine Center on Saturday evening. A reception and cash bar will begin at 5 p.m. to be followed by a buffet dinner at 6 p.m. Kent Martin will provide music for dancing.

Tickets for the dinner are $30. Checks should be made payable to the AAHS Alumni Association, 1415 Sixth Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602.

Persons wishing to sit together at reserved tables are encouraged to send in their reservations at the same time.

As less than 200 tickets remain to be sold, the dinner promises to be sold out by mid-summer at the latest.
