BookFlix can be accessed through the Altoona Public Library website with a public library card.

Click the BookFlix link above. At the Altoona Area Public Library home page, click the Digital Library tab at the top. In the next window, click the Power Library box. Have your Altoona Area Public Library barcode number ready!

The National School Lunch Program is a federally assisted meal program operating in public and nonprofit private schools and residential child care institutions. It provides nutritionally balanced, low-cost or free lunches to children each school day.

AAHS Child Zone

The Altoona Area High School Child Zone Preschool is accepting registrations for the 2015-2016 school year.

Children ages 3-5 can be enrolled for classes, which will begin in October.  Sessions are held Tuesday through Thursday through the month of May.  Morning and afternoon sessions are available and the cost is $30 per month. 

Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Please email dliller@altoonasd.com anytime or call 946-8354 Monday – Friday 7:30am – 3:00pm.

Immediate need for dedicated Act 93 Middle Management team member.  Special Education Supervisor certification required, or Principal K-12 with special education certification and at least 5 years teaching experience; admin. experience preferred.  Thorough working knowledge of special education laws and regulations.  Must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a committed work ethic.
