Eligibility
All students who reside within the boundaries of the Altoona Area School District are eligible for enrollment in district schools. The district does accept tuition students from outside its boundaries and operates a Summer School program for high school students that is open to all students in Blair County.
Kindergarten and First Grade
According to the Pennsylvania School Code, a child who is five years of age before October 1 of the current school year is eligible to attend kindergarten. Children enrolling in first grade must also be six years of age before October 1 of the current school year.
Registration information can be obtained by calling the AASD Attendance Office at 814-946-8230. Information and forms may be obtained online by clicking here. At the time of registration, parents must provide proof of the child's age, complete immunization records and the child's Social Security number.
TranscriptsIndividuals requesting their AAHS transcripts can come to the Main Office and complete a Transcript Release Record form.
If you are not able to come to the Main Office, send a signed letter that contains your Full (first, middle and last) Name as it was when you were in High School, Date of Birth, Date Graduated or Withdrew from AAHS, Name and Complete Mailing Address of where to send the transcript and a $1 processing fee.
