Penn Lincoln Elementary School raises funds for Central PA Humane Society

In recognition of National Pet Month in May, Penn Lincoln Elementary School hosted a Cutest Adoptable Pet Contest in support of the Central PA Humane Society.

The Central PA Humane Society provided classrooms with a photo and the name of 22 animals currently adoptable, one for each classroom. Students and teachers were invited to vote for the cutest adoptable pet by placing their coins in the container. Each cent represented one vote. The winning classroom received a pizza party with 2nd & 3rd place receiving a cookie party. Since the contest 13 of the 22 animals have been adopted.

The Penn Lincoln students collectively raised $1,251.18 in just eight days of voting which they presented to CPHS representatives Becky Felton and Dylan Kotrick in a check presentation.
