AAJHS Water Break Update - February 10, 2026

Due to ongoing cleanup and repair efforts, the Altoona Area Junior High School will continue with asynchronous remote learning days on Wednesday, February 11 and Thursday, February 12. Students should complete the Google Form from their 1st period teacher to verify attendance and check all Google Classrooms and email for asynchronous assignments. Teachers are available by email for instructional support or to answer any questions that you may have.

AAJHS administration will be communicating directly with students and families that may need to access the building to get any devices, materials, or items from the school during this time. The school offices are open from 7:30 AM - 2:30 PM. Afternoon and evening activities will proceed as scheduled unless you are notified otherwise.

The academic building sustained significant damage that requires extensive cleanup. All life safety systems have been restored and staff are on sight for student support. Please call the AAJHS main office if they can assist you in any way (814-381-7500).
