Beginning Friday, September 6, students in grades 6-12 attending football games will be required to present a school-issued ID at the gate prior to entering the game.

The Summer Food Service Program will begin on Monday, June 3, and run through July 26, 2024.

Commencement services for the Class of 2024 will be held as scheduled on Friday, May 31 at Mansion Park Stadium beginning at 6:00 PM.

The cast and crew of the AAHS spring musical Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat had a successful night at the ACT Isaacs Awards.

On March 23rd, 31 AAHS world language students attended the APPLES Foreign Language festival at IUP. Approximately 200 foreign language students from local area high schools participated in competitions in listening, reading, writing, speaking, literary recitation, drama, original or reproduction of an art piece, constructing a model, T-shirts, dance, and music vocal and music instrumental performances.  All events occurred in Spanish, French, German, or Latin.

AAHS Friends of Rachel Club recently held a ribbon cutting for the newly renovated and relocated Rachel's Closet.

It's back! The annual Senior Citizens' Prom, sponsored by the AAHS Student Council, will be held April 25, 2024 in the AAHS Field House beginning at 5:00 PM

On Monday, April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross North America passing over Mexico, the United States and Canada.  In central Pennsylvania, the eclipse is anticipated to occur between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. and may last anywhere from 4 to 5 minutes.

Due to the timing of the eclipse, the AASD Board of Directors approved an adjustment to the school calendar at last night’s meeting to include an Early Dismissal for students on Monday, April 8, 2024.  Learning Express Preschool PM Session is canceled.
