Athletic Registration
2026-2027 FALL SPORTS PHYSICALS
2026-2027 Fall Sports Physicals will be held on Thursday, May 28th,
at the Altoona Area Junior High School for the following fall athletes:
High School Football (current grades 8-11) - 3:00 pm
Junior High School Girls (current grades 6-8)
participating in any fall sport - 3:20 pm
Junior High School Boys (current grades 6-8)
participating in any fall sport - 3:45 pm
All other fall sports and any of the above athletes that were unable
to attend the May 28th physical will be able to attend physicals at a
date and time to be determined sometime during the last week of
July or first week of August.
If you are unable to attend any of the physicals, you may submit a physical form
signed by your physician as long as it is dated May 1, 2026 or later.
Physicals are required by the first day of mandatory practices
which start on Monday, August 17, 2026.
2026-2027 ONLINE REGISTRATION - AVAILABLE AFTER JULY 1, 2026
$50 REGISTRATION FEE FOR 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR - MUST BE PAID AFTER JULY 1, 2026
Before any student can participate on an athletic team, they must complete the Athletic Registration through ArbiterSports, have a physical evaluation completed by the Altoona Area School District physician (free of charge) or by their private physician, and pay the $50 registration fee prior to the beginning of mandatory practices which begin on Monday, August 17, 2026. Registration fees cannot be paid online. Athletes may bring cash, check or money order to the summer physicals or the Athletic Office during regular office hours.
All students having their physical completed by the AASD physician will complete the CIPPE SECTION 6: PRE-PARTICIPATION PHYSICAL EVALUATION FORM with their name, sport, and grade as of the 2026-2027 school year at the physical evaluation. This form (see below) may also be used if the student is visiting a private physician. The administering physician must be an Authorized Medical Examiner (AME). Physicals cannot be dated prior to May 1st of the current year.
ArbiterSports
The Altoona Area School District athletes will now register for sports teams through ArbiterSports. Paper forms will no longer be used with the exception of the Physical Evaluation form (CIPPE Section 6). With this program, parents and student-athletes can easily access schedules, sign up for programs, and receive real-time alerts and notifications. The information entered on the Registration will remain in their account as they progress through their years at AASD and only need to be updated each year.
