2025-2026 SPRING SPORTS PHYSICALS
Spring Sports Physicals for AAJHS will be held on
Thursday, February 19th, at 3:00 p.m. in the AAJHS Training Room.
Spring Sports Physicals for AAHS will be held on
Thursday, February 26th, at 3:00 p.m. in the AAHS Training Room.
If you are unable to attend, you may submit a physical form signed by
your physician as long as it is dated May 1, 2025 or later.
Physicals are required by the first day of mandatory practices
which start on Monday, March 2nd.
If you competed in a Fall or Winter sport, please pick up a Recertification
form from the Athletic Office or Trainer. The top portion must
be completed and turned into the Trainer prior to the day of physicals.
You do not need to attend physicals.
2025-2026 ONLINE REGISTRATION
$50 REGISTRATION FEE FOR 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR
Before any student can participate on an athletic team and they have not competed in a fall or winter sport, they must complete the Athletic Registration through ArbiterSports, have a physical evaluation completed by the Altoona Area School District physician (free of charge) or by their private physician, and pay the $50 registration fee prior to the beginning of mandatory practices which begin on Monday, March 2, 2026.
All students having their physical completed by the AASD physician must print and complete the CIPPE SECTION 6: PRE-PARTICIPATION PHYSICAL EVALUATION FORM with their name, sport, and grade as of the 2025-2026 school year and bring it to the physical evaluation. This form may also be used if the student is visiting a private physician. The administering physician must be an Authorized Medical Examiner (AME). Physicals cannot be dated prior to May 1st of the current year.
ArbiterSports
The Altoona Area School District athletes will now register for sports teams through ArbiterSports. Paper forms will no longer be used with the exception of the Physical Evaluation form (CIPPE Section 6). With this program, parents and student-athletes can easily access schedules, sign up for programs, and receive real-time alerts and notifications. The information entered on the Registration will remain in their account as they progress through their years at AASD and only need to be updated each year.
