The Altoona Area School District athletes will now register for sports teams through ArbiterSports. Paper forms will no longer be used with the exception of the Physical Evaluation form (CIPPE Section 6). With this program, parents and student-athletes can easily access schedules, sign up for programs, and receive real-time alerts and notifications. The information entered on the Registration will remain in their account as they progress through their years at AASD and only need to be updated each year.

Registration for the first season of the year:

Before any student can participate on an athletic team, they must complete the Athletic Registration on ArbiterSports, have a physical evaluation completed by the Altoona Area School District physician (free of charge) or by their private physician, and pay the $50 registration fee prior to the beginning of mandatory practices.

2024-2025 FALL SPORTS PHYSICAL EVALUATION for AAHS & AAJHS

Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Mansion Park Athletic Training Room

for athletes who did not participate in the May 2024 physical evaluation.

The $50 registration fee may be paid at this time.

All students having their physical completed by the AASD physician must print and complete the CIPPE SECTION 6: PRE-PARTICIPATION PHYSICAL EVALUATION FORM with their name, sport, and grade as of the 2024-2025 school year and bring it to the physical evaluation. This form may also be used if the student is visiting a private physician. The administering physician must be an Authorized Medical Examiner (AME). Physicals cannot be dated prior to May 1st of the current year.

CIPPE FORM SECTION 6 - Physical Exam Form

Registration for any following seasons (RECERTIFICATION):

Any student who has previously played a sport for the current school year must complete the Athletic Recertification on ArbiterSports. This is a simplified version of the Athletic Registration as the initial Athletic Registration already contains most of the information needed.

Recertification registration will only be open during Winter/Spring but will still show on ArbiterSports. If the registration is not open, please check back at a later date.

All students recertifying for a new season must print and complete the CIPPE SECTION 8: Re-CERTIFICATION BY LICENSED PHYSICIAN OF MEDICINE OR OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE FORM with their name, sport, and grade. The Altoona Area School District provides physical examinations at the beginning of each season. This form may also be used if the student is visiting a private physician. The administering physician must be an Authorized Medical Examiner (AME).
