Refresher Classes
The AASD Adult Education Program is fortunate to be a WIOA partner of the Southern Alleghenies Workforce Development Region (SAWD) and the PA CareerLink Blair County.
Many of our learners are referred to us by our PA CareerLink partners to refresh their math and reading skills in order to be eligible for SAWD funding that assists with trade/postsecondary tuition and its associated costs.
Prepare for Post-Secondary Studies, Trade School and Employment Opportunities
For adults whose goal is entering employment, post-secondary or career training programs, we offer math and reading refresher classes. These classes help the adult to ease back into being a student again, brush-up their academic skills and gain confidence in order to be poised for success in future studies.
